The excellent Technics Sl1200 turntable needs no introduction. We first heard about it from DJs decades ago, when they started asking about it and incorporating it into their work and touring setups. Testing it, we noticed its rigidity, simplicity and high quality of build. We started making modifications to it, from upgrading the cheap phono cables (oh, we've done so many!) to building external power supplies and replacing the arms with audiophile ones. This is an excellent professional turntable that can make a nice home hi-fi turntable as is, or with a few modifications where necessary, show its great qualities. We always felt that what was missing from the usual modifications was a new plinth. So, we designed and built a plinth that incorporates all the modifications needed to turn this professional workhorse into a beautiful hi-fi turntable.
